Refacing or resurfacing is simply the process of covering over existing kitchen cabinets or countertops with new plastic laminate or wood veneer. All exposed surfaces are covered in the new color. New doors are made in wood, laminate or thermofoil, with new euro style hidden hinges. New high quality pulls are added to provide your kitchen with a brand new look. Many different styles of doors are available. Our sales representative will bring all the door and countertop samples to your home, and help you select the best options and combinations for your kitchen design. This typically takes 1 to 3 hours, including discussing pricing to fit your budget.

First, we remove existing cabinet doors and drawers fronts. If there are any modifications in the cabinet layout like adding new cabinets it is done now. Then, the cabinets are sanded in place. Sides and faces are glued on the old surface, matching the color and material of the doors. Lastly, the new doors and drawer fronts are installed with the new hardware. We use the finest all metal European hidden hinges and euroglides for the drawers.

Before starting you will have to remove all items from your cabinets and drawers. You will still be able to use the kitchen every night if needed, unlike total remodeling, where you would be forced out of your kitchen for 4-6 weeks.

Prior to refacing, we can add or subtract to the cabinets to alter the openings. We can also add new cabinets to change the layout to make the kitchen easier to use. One thing we do most often is to replace defective drawers in wood or laminate with euroglides. We use only the finest hardware for your job.
